Abstract

Individual rights are universally inevitable to all humans.Literature has a purpose. Purposeful study provides quality literature. Enough of social evils have been brought out in the present day studies. It is all because people should not get conjured towards false means. The glory of a person lies in conceiving the rights. The Green Mile is set in 1932 at the Cold Mountains. It is also known as Old Sparky, where the electric chair is always fond of new prisoners. It is where the bitterest horror is experienced. It is actually justice to carry over death sentence to people who are brutal murderers. When a black man named John Coffey is accused of raping and killing a young girl, he has been judged to perish in an electric chair. He is an inmate of the prison for now. The prison warden, Paul Edgecombe narrates the story.John Coffey becomes the hero only because he is one among the victims of exploitation. The logic behind quality writing is that it symbolises more than one obvious story. The prerogative understandings will pave the way to freedom. An individual should exhibit his rebellion whenever rights are denied. Unlike Coffey, it is better to voice one self. It is not fair to lose in silence. When good souls decide so, it is sure of a world full of vile belongings. Thisstudy focuses on the ways and means in which the protagonist, John Coffeyis subjected to individual suppression
