Abstract

Every fiction is historical to the extent it narrates the past lives of people and its impact on the peoples future. Many avenues have been explored to narrate histories of people belonging to different sections of the society. Indian English writing has always witnessed innovative, fascinating and worthy experiments in terms of narration and blending history and fiction. In the recent past, writers like Mohan Rao, Praayag Akbar and Aravind Adiga are trying to write common peoples history. They historicize the lives of common people such that the stereotypical definition of history is getting questioned.
