Abstract

The aim of this paper is to bring the tormented phase of women to limelight. Patriarchy is a social system in which the male are primarily powerful and predominant in the social, cultural, economic and political setup. The patriarchal world is constructed by the aspects of society and culture. Women are always kept inside the four corners of the wall. Bapsi Sidhwas The Pakistani Bride, depicts the traumatic experiences of women of different backgrounds. This paper also unmasks the notions which oppress women sexually within the agents of patriarchal forms.
