Ecoculture of Maharashtrian Aborigines Madia Gond and Korku: An Ecocritical Study of Maruti Chitampalli’s Nisarga Wachan

Abstract

Present study explores close link between literary works of Chitampalli and ecoculture of aborigines. This paper sets out to present an overview of Maruti Chitampalli as a prolific ecocentric writer in Marathi literature. Present research work examines literary work Nisarga Wachan with ecocentric perspective. Present study investigates how these works prominently expresses ecoculture and habitat of aborigines around the important forests in Maharashtra like Gugamal National Park, Amravati; Pench National Park, Nagpur; Navegaon National Park, Gondia and Tadoba National Park, Chandrapur.Chitampalli expresses close and minute relationship between aborigines like Madia Gond andKorku with ecosystem. He deals with ecocentric approach and shows concern withecoculture of aborigines. Chitampallis approach towards nature is constructive. Chitampalli has projected a positive rapport between man and nature with transcendental approach. His works completely deal with ecocritical approach. Chitampalli not only observed scenic sublimation of nature but also its relation with existence of aborigines. His detachment from society and excursion in the deep forest realizes him constructive power of nature. Maruti Chitampalli is post-modern ecocentric Marathi writer; hence, he has mentioned the boomerang of excess industrialization and globalization causing harm to ecosystem. Present study will expound various aspects of ecoculture and ecological awareness of aborigines from select work of Chitampalli. He is a keen observer of ecosystem. Chitampallis Nisarga Wachan recorded keen observations about ecoculture and ecological awareness of aborigines. Present research work analyzes how ecological conditioning has deeply rooted in the life of aborigines. It is an attempt to study Chitampallis ecocentric perspective and thought provoking ecological awareness through writings. Present research work attempts to focus on sensitive experiences and keen observations of Chitampalli that widen the understanding about ecoculture and ecological awareness of aborigines
