Assessing the Impact of Reforms on Economic Growth of Indian States

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to access the impact of the reforms on Growth of the NSDP of Indian States. Economic performance of the states analyzed from 1980-81 to 2015-16 on a common base 2011-12. Impact of the reforms is observed in three parts, pre reforms (1980-81 to 1990-91), reforms period (1991-92) and the post reforms period (1992 to 2015). This paper is described in 4 sections. Section, 1 deal with introduction and objectives, Section 2 and 3 includes Methodology and major findings. Section 4 highlights the conclusion.
