Abstract

EPESs (electric force and energy frameworks) are undergoing a transformation in order to provide clean transmitted energy to support global financial growth. The Internet of Things (IoT) is at the forefront of this transformation, providing capabilities like continuous monitoring, situational mindfulness and knowledge, control, and digital protection to transform the current EPES into a wise digital empowered EPES that is more effective, secure, solid, strong, and long-lasting. In addition, using IoT to digitize the electric power environment improves resource deception, optimal circulating age management, eliminates energy waste, and generates reserve money. The Internet of Things has a significant impact on EPESs and offers a few opportunities for growth and progress. The transmission of IoT for EPESs is fraught with difficulties. Practical measures to overcome these challenges should be taken to ensure that the development of IoT for EPESs continues. Computational insight capabilities may improve a smart IoT framework by duplicating organic sensory systems with psychological calculation, streaming, and disseminated inquiry, including at the edge and gadget levels. This survey examines the role, impact, and challenges of the Internet of Things in changing electric force and energy frameworks.
