Performance Evaluation of Top Rated Equity Mutual Funds in India

Abstract

In the present scenario, where people are more interested in investing in mutual funds especially using SIPs, it becomes necessary to evaluate the performance of mutual funds in the light of recent turn around in the capital markets. It is also relevant to verify the difference, if any in the returns from the top rated large cap funds, multi cap funds, mid-cap funds and small-cap funds.It could also be witnessed that difference between grouped averages of large cap funds, multi cap funds, mid cap funds and small cap funds are  statistically significant in few periods under study. The difference in absolute terms is visible.
