ROLE OF EDUCATION IN WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Abstract

Women's education in India is a major concern for both the government and civil society, as trained women will play a very important role in the country's growth. Education is a landmark in the advancement of women because it encourages them to adapt to challenges, to confront their conventional status, and to transform their lives. So we can't overlook the value of education in terms of women's empowerment and India is poised in recent years to become a powerhouse. Education of women is the most powerful tool to change the position in society. Women education in India has been a need of the hour, as education is a foundation stone for the empowerment of woman. Education also brings a reduction in inequalities and functions as a means of improving their status within the family and develops the concept of participation. In this paper titled “Role of education in Women Empowerment” the author will analyses how vital role has education played in empowering women in India.
