Abstract

India is emerging as a super power, slated to be among the world's five largest economies and viewed by international investors, business conglomerates and tertiary education providers as a land of opportunity. The crucial role of adoption of innovation in strategic human resource management is becoming increasingly prevalent in both business and academic literature. The proposed research is intended to explore the process and practices of human resource management and assess its impact on the Indian corporate. The paper revolves around the impact of giving strategic significance to the human resource management on profitability and performance of various top-notch organizations of India. Here the findings have tried to focus upon the question that Is the HR strategy related to the overall business strategy? as people are the most valuable asset of an organization. Thus strategic alignment of HR with business goals becomes very crucial for facing the changes in competitive structure in Indian market due to the large-scale entry of multinational corporations. The study also encompasses of various relevant and important examples of Indian firms who have worked wonders by the help of its human asset and HR practices.
