DEVELOPMENT OF OPTIMIZED CONCEPT SELECTION PROCESS - FUZZY LOGIC

Abstract

Industries spend most of their time in taking critical decisions for their survival in the market. Basically, the decision process is to weigh the diverse alternatives and to figure out the best solution for completing the challenging goals. Todays   environment is of challenging and highly uncertain, which makes the sustainability concepts as a very important strategy to be concentrated, this is due to increasing government regulations and the consciousness of the sustainable products among the customers. Meanwhile the enterprises have the tendency to welcome new product development activities and to fulfill the customer needs adequately.  The aim of this study is then to improve the accuracy of decision-making in NPD under uncertainty and to reduce the risk of the decision makers so we propose an integrated approach through fuzzy logic tool, MATLAB to shape the decisions and illustrate with a case study.
