A Study on Custom Broker Agents Perception towards Export and Import Documentation Process with Reference to Triway Forwarders Pvt Ltd

Abstract

The Logistics include freight, sea, transportation, warehousing, materials handling. The Clearing house agents were allowed to handle both operations and sign documents and merged into known as Custom Broker Agents. Custom Broker Agents faces challenges, even the minute flaws needs to be identified. Export and import documentation plays a vital role in international marketing as it facilitates the smooth flow of goods and payments thereof across national frontiers. A number of documents accompany every shipment. These documents must be properly and correctly filled. This study aims at identifying the effectiveness of export and import documentation process and impact of demographic factors on the same. The factors involved in documentation, advance filing system, time taken for custom clearance, dwell time and transit time reduction, EXIM shipment process, Tracking System etc. The data collected through structured questionnaire. The whole CBAs in TRIWAY Logistics were considered for study.  The CBAs feel that they are satisfied with most of the parameters considered viz., documentation process, Online dealing reduces Manpower and avoids delay in Customs Clearance, Logistics cost, relationship with Client-CHA and custom officer. It is also suggested that relationship between Custom and Shipper Corporation has to be increased.  This helps the CBAs and forwarding companies to process clearance more effectively and attaining the capability of driving seat.
