ESIGN AND CONCURRENCY MANAGEMENT OF TRAINING INFORMATION SYSTEM AT RAMCO SYSTEMS PVT LTD

Abstract

The study is carried out to understand the difficulties of accessing a centralized database without any proper locking mechanism. The objective of conducting this study to find the main problems involved in it and suggesting alternative measures for the problems involved in using the main database. For this purpose several types of locking mechanisms were studied in order to get the needed information also the main thing involved is that the usage of a secondary database to overcome the disabilities while using the centralized one. The SQL Server by Microsoft is used to construct the database and the SQL Server Report Services is used for the purpose of generation of the report by the help of Microsoft Visual Studio. Finally all this is integrated with the Ramco Learning Portal that is constructed by the HTML coding for designing the webpage, which contains all the information about the learning modules and assessments thereby providing the subtle information of which employees need what kind of assistance
