The disparity is wide in separate kitchen within the house, use of lpg for cooking, bathroom within the house, toilet within the house and two or more rooms within the house. On the other hand, the difference is relatively small on the indicator pucca houses, tap within the house and electricity for lighting. Ironically disparity between the two population groups is high in the developed districts of haryana, such as panchkula, faridabad, mahendragh, bhiwani and rohtak. This indicates that the development process is in a stage of transition and it is taking time to trickle down to weaker section of the society in the case of districts under a more egalitarian approach of the government, the disparity is low in areas at a high level of development. As such, this disparity syndrome is a reflection of urban-rural disparity in several cases.
