Abstract

The study was conducted on 120 male and 120 female undergraduates to examine the relationship of self-concept and self-disclosure with locus of control. It was hypothesized that: (i) there would be a significant positive correlation that of self concept and self-disclosure with internal locus of control among adolescents, and (ii) there would be a significant negative correlation that of self-concept and self-disclosure with external locus of control among adolescents. Locus of control, self-concept and self-disclosure were measured using Hasnain's Locus of Control Scale, Mohsin's Self-concept Scale and De and Singh's Self-disclosure respectively. The data were analysed using t-test. The results upheld the hypotheses. It was concluded that self-concept. Self-disclosure and locus of control are significantly correlated.
