History And Cultural Perspective in Kim Scott’s True Country

Abstract

Kim Scotts True Country published in 1993. This novel seems to be semi -autobiographical as he did research for many years. It explores various issues like self- identity, violence faced by light -  skinned people. This article explores the history and culture of the Noongar people. The methodology of analysis is based on E.H. Carrs concept of history and Maurice Halbwachs concept of Collective Memory.
