Environmental Awareness for Sustainability of Human Being

Abstract

       The present study was conducted to test the hypothesis that, the students from urban area having more environmental awareness compare to the students from rural area, and the hypothesis, female students have more environmental awareness compare to the male students. The researcher tested this hypothesis using an experimental design, in which researcher measured adolescents environmental awareness. 200 students from first year Degree College were selected for the present study. By using the Environmental Awareness Scale data was collected. Suitable statistical treatment was given to the data for analysis of the scores. Results show that the students from urban area having more environmental awareness compare to the students from rural area and female students have more awareness compare to male students.
