Inferiority Complex in the Character of Picola of The Bluest Eyes

Abstract

            This novel shows us the terrible consequences of blacks who privatize the values ??of black culture that rejects them both directly and indirectly. Although slavery has been legally abolished through the arduous efforts of eminent leaders, African-Americans still do not consider themselves equal to whites. Blacks are trying to identify themselves as white and in their cultural forms. Toni Morrison insists on black cultural heritage and asks African-Americans to be proud of their black identity. This paper presents the nature of the struggle of the cloud peoples for their race and their resistance in a predominantly multicultural postcolonial white America. The present paper also examines the impact that women had on the advancement of all African Americans and focuses on political culture and histories of African American people. The bluest eyes examine about a young African American girl who develops and inferiority complex because of the color of her dark skin. This novel suggests that physical beauty is a virtue embedded in society.
