Abstract

Thane Rosenbaum is a pioneer American writer of Jewish origin who belongs to the second generation of survivors who went through emotional turmoil and disturbed psyche even when they did not face the horrors of the World War II and the Holocaust themselves as their fathers and forefathers had witnessed it. But this young generation, still went through a great deal of silent trauma which was felt by them every day. Being a part of a wordless family where the deep horrors were not talked about made them disturbed. The loss of identity, the sense of right and wrong all instilled huge gaps in their emotional well-being. Rosenbaum, through the depiction of such people, wants to unify the collective trauma and wants to instil faith of lost Jewish population.
