Critical Evaluation of Domestic Violence against Women: With Reference to State of Karnataka, India

Abstract

Domestic violence can be stated in the form where two people are living together under one roof, they can be either husband and wife or even other type of legitimate couples. In most of the cases, the above stated partner is the wife and in some other cases it is girlfriend, partner, etc. there can be many forms of domestic violence i.e. from a momentary effect to regular extortion on different grounds. In this present paper the researcher had tried to evaluate the reasons of domestic violence the impact of the same on women. This study is based on primary data and females working in the government offices were considered as sample for the study. Descriptive statistics and Chi Square test is being used to evaluate the data. SPSS Ver. 20.0 used of analysis.
