Abstract

Education is one of the central activities of modern society. It is an essential mean for the individual to improve personal endowment, build capability levels, overcome constraints and is the process to make best use of the opportunities and choices for their well-being. Interest is one of the important traits of the personality of an individual, which has significance for vocational success and satisfaction. It is essential to keep in mind the ability, intelligence, vocational interest, higher proficiency, Needs, and attitude in the selection of vocation. Many studies focus on self-concept dimensions and socioeconomic aspects of vocational choice. Due to this self-concept dimensions, pupils with varied intelligence perceive vocations in a different manner and make varied choices. In modern society when the excess of occupations are confusing the young minds, the vocational guidance should be the utmost priority.
