Preliminary observation on occurrence and abundance of aleuroglyphus ovatus troupeau, 1878 (acari: acaridae) from some stored food products in punjab (India)

Abstract

Intensive surveys were conducted to examine 12 stored food products (Almond, Black gram, Cheese, Dalia, Maida, Maize flour, Moong Dal, Rice, Suji, Walnut, Wheat and White gram) during the three years i.e. March 2014 to February 2017 in 10 districts of Punjab. The main aim to explore mite fauna associated with some stored food products. This research paper provides information about occurrence, species composition, relative abundance and effect of temperature and relative humidity on an acarid mite Aleuroglyphus ovatus.
