Relationship between Environmental Ethics and Moral Values of High School Students in Cuddalore District

Abstract

The present investigation has been undertaken in order to study the relationship between Environmental Ethics and Moral values of high school students. Environmental Ethics Scale (EES) constructed and standardized by Hajeen Taj (2001) and Moral Value Scale constructed and standardized by Gupta (1998) have been administrated to a random sampling technique sample of 500 high school students studying in Cuddalore District in Tamilnadu, India. The statistical techniques adopted to analyse the collected data were descriptive and correlation analysis. Findings revealed that the environmental ethics of high school students is average and moral values is average. It is found that there is a positive and significant relationship between the environmental ethics and moral values of high school students.
