Abstract

The common way of saving money is through dropping it in banks or any certified commercial sectors. This concept is very common for saving the money; or minting it for that matter. But apart from the regular function of accepting sum and providing credits there are other responsibilities of banks which society needs. One of those which I am concentrating is supporting entrepreneurship especially for women. The glass blocks for being a women entrepreneur can be broken through support from financial institutions and banks.

The initiative of this paper is to interpret the part of banking sectors in breaking glass ceiling- with respect to women business leaders. The paper is empirical in nature. The sample size is 30, area been considered for research is Mandya district; the source is driven through primary data by getting required facts through questionnaire and the secondary data by reviewing available literature. There are six banks were involved for the study purpose; wherein three banks were public and the other three were private banks. The end result expected is to know whether the banks are successful in breaking glass ceiling for women entrepreneurship and is the funds utilized in factual way by Women Entrepreneurs in Mandya region.
