A Research Agenda for Assessing India’s Digital Economy

Abstract

In order to understand concretely, the impact of Indias digital foray since the initial formulation of the National e-Governance Plan and later, Digital India, we must develop stable quantitative indicators and construct an index of measurable variables by which states in India can be ranked on the basis of the impact that the digital economy has had on them. This will prepare Indias future policy discourse around industry 3.0 and 4.0.
