Analysis of Energy Consumption Patterns to identify the Energy Conservation Tools for an Office Building

Abstract

Now a days air-conditioning has become an essential component of commercial buildings. These systems are responsible for major consumption of energy in the building. This study presents status of a HVAC system of an  IT building in Delhi region. The study has shown that in-spite of the cooling load variation, the AHUs are consuming nearly equal energy throughout the year. The analysis has shown that chillers and AHUs are approximately sharing 50-50 percent of energy consumption. It has been proposed that building automation system will be helpful to conserve significant energy.
