Abstract

Due to carbon emission from fossil fuel electricity generating thermal power plants which pollutes the air quality and environment which further increase the global warming from greenhouse effect. According to national oceanic and atmospheric administration (NOAA), 2014 was announced as the hottest year on record. Hence some measures must be taken to decrease COx and NOx emission. In the same way fossil fuel plants must be forced to operate under low carbon emission which further demands emission and economic dispatch. Earlier it was a single objective problem, now it is considered as multiple objective and should be resolved through optimization technique having multiple objective. This paper deals with a comparable review of different MO techniques on a standard IEEE 30 bus, 6 generating unit, IEEE 10 generation unit and IEEE 40 unit generation system.
