A Study on Social Intelligence of High School Students

Abstract

Social intelligence is the ability to get along well with others, and to get them to co-operate with oneself. In the present study, an attempt has been made to examine the social intelligence of High school students. The sample of the study comprised of 900 High school students studying in Government, Aided and Private schools of Thrissur District, Kerala-India. Random sampling technique was used. The Social intelligence scale constructed and validated by Dr. N.K. Chadha and Usha Ganeshan (1986) was used for data collection. The study reveals that the High school students exhibit a moderate level of social intelligence.
