Abstract

A unique culture is developed and maintained by every organization, which impact the manner in which employees think, feel and act in the working environment. The competitive advantage of business has changed in the business world as well as in the thought process of the people that work in those organizations. Employees are prepared to switch over to rivalry companies if they are dissatisfied with the current organization they are employed in. This paper thus investigated the idea of relationship that exists between organizational culture and employee retention with specific reference to chosen IT organizations in Bangalore city. Descriptive research method and survey research design was adopted and the research hypotheses were tested using ANOVA and SEM. The investigation was directed with a populace of 275 employees working in IT organization. The finding uncovered that there is a noteworthy positive connection between organizational culture and the employee retention in IT organizations. In conclusion, employee communication, employee performance, work life balance and employee productivity is essential to high employee retention in an organization. It was recommended that IT organizations needs to adapt their innovative strategies so as to enable potential employees to retain with the organization.
